Students in year 5 and 6 participate in a camp every year. These are held on a 2 year rotational basis so that all students have the opportunity to take part in each environment.
In 2018 we went to the popular Emu Gully adventure park. Emu Gully has an Anzac theme, with activities built around epic Anzac events, such as the Siege of Tobruk, the Western Front, Kokoda Track etc. These provide a “hands on” history lesson of a very important part of our Australian Heritage.
In 2019 we went to the fabulous Tallebudgera
Beach Outdoor Educational School. This is a fun and educational camp, with an
emphasis on building independence, relationships and overcoming challenges in
this outdoor beach setting.
We strongly encourage students to attend both of these camps as they are great in encouraging student to achieve personal goals and over come any fears, concerns or negative feelings. Team building and peer co-operation are major focus with both of these camps and we are very excited to continue using these camps in rotation.
This year, in Term 3 2021, we have again booked our popular Tallebudgera Beach Camp. Our Year 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to attend from August 2nd - 6th 2021.
